Crafting Brand Ignite’s

Introduction

Brand Ignite, a strategic brand consultancy, had recently undergone a bold visual transformation with the help of branding specialists Think Plus Ink. Their new identity was energetic, vibrant and full of personality — but their online presence didn’t yet reflect this shift. I was brought in to lead the design and delivery of a website that embodied their renewed direction, balanced accessibility with visual impact, and captured their distinct voice across every touchpoint.

My role

I led the full digital design journey — from site mapping and wireframing to concept development and final delivery. Working closely with the team at Brand Ignite and their branding partners at Think Plus Ink, I ensured the UI amplified their refreshed identity without compromising on clarity or accessibility. Particular focus was given to making bold visual elements work harmoniously across digital formats, exploring illustration to offset limited photography options, and shaping an engaging experience that celebrated their work while remaining usable for all. Community, creativity, and inclusivity sat at the heart of every design decision.

The challenge

Translate Brand Ignite’s new brand into a seamless digital experience that balanced vibrancy with usability, offered flexibility, and elevated their positioning among competitors — all with limited photography to support visual storytelling.

Key insights

The bold brand colours worked beautifully across physical and print media, but when brought together online, they risked overwhelming the user. The key was restraint — applying colour strategically while ensuring enough space and contrast for accessibility. This opened an opportunity to introduce illustration as a distinctive visual device, reducing reliance on photography while adding a fresh and ownable layer to the brand.

Design approach

The process was collaborative and iterative. I consolidated the sitemap into a clear, single-page structure that reflected Brand Ignite’s streamlined offering. Through early-stage wireframes and ongoing feedback sessions, the layout evolved to support storytelling and interaction while giving the new brand room to breathe.

Visual Balance

Used bold colour accents with plenty of white space and softer backgrounds to maintain legibility and visual clarity.

Design choice 02.

Clear visuals for each service

Combined illustration, iconography, and tailored colour treatments to give each service its own clear visual identity. This created distinction between offerings while maintaining a unified, recognisable design language across the site

Learnings

This project highlighted the importance of adaptive creativity — where the solution isn’t about applying the brand everywhere, but curating how and where it shows up. It was also a reminder of how powerful illustrations can be when used with intention, giving a brand depth and versatility while sidestepping visual limitations.

Closing thought

Working with Brand Ignite and Think Plus Ink was a true creative partnership — one that brought together bold thinking, thoughtful execution, and collaborative energy. The result is a digital presence that feels confident, expressive, and utterly unique — just like Brand Ignite themselves.
